Since my return to Canada I have been performing and teaching both Egyptian and Lebanese dance styles, including folklore. In 2008 I was able to re-join the Enan Troupe after a long absence. In 2014 I joined the Ottawa Zaffah Group which performs traditional Lebanese Wedding processions.

I have more than 35 years of performance and teaching experience. In 2014 I opened a small dance studio in my home, which I called Studio Phoenicia, where I give private and semi-private lessons, focusing on traditional movements and techniques.

I love this dance in all of its authentic forms, and have tried very hard to promote teaching standards in the Ottawa area. I encourage my students to have fun and be expressive while staying loyal to its cultural roots. My experience and training enable me to teach all levels, as well as give specialized workshops. I am also a dedicated fitness enthusiast and marathon runner.
